One thing that is often overlooked is how important it is to have fresh content on your website. I recently decided that I would test this notion and leave my twitter account alone for a while to see if it drops out of the results for SEOMike. After a few weeks, it did drop off as expected. I decided to make post a few tweets about some SEO stuff and in no time the twitter results were back up to numbers three and four. Just goes to show, if you don’t keep your profiles active and your site fresh, you’re not going to dominate the listings for your brand.
